Disclosed is a condensed polycyclic polymer having a structure for exhibiting high charge transport performance, which has excellent solubility in solvents. The condensed polycyclic polymer has a plurality of either first structural units represented by general formula (1) or second structural units represented by general formula (2), or the first structural unit(s) and the second structural unit(s) in combination. (In the formulae (1) and (2), X1 and X2 each represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or a selenium atom; R1 and R2 each represents a halogen atom, an unsaturated alkyl group, an alkyl group, a non-alkyl group containing an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a monovalent heterocyclic group; R3 and R4 each represents a monovalent group, and when there are a plurality of R3's or R4's, the R3's or R4's may be the same as or different from each other; and m, n, s and t each represents an integer of 0-2.)
