PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve refrigeration capability of a mixed-refrigerant type refrigerating device 10 while attaining a low achieving temperature. SOLUTION: The refrigerating device 10 includes: a first compressor 20 for compressing mixed refrigerant; an intermediate cooler 21 for cooling the mixed refrigerant discharged from the first compressor 20; a second compressor 27 for compressing the mixed refrigerant discharged from the intermediate cooler 21; condensers 17, 22; gas-liquid separators 24, 30, 36, 42 of a plurality of stages; cascade heat exchangers 25, 31, 37, 43 of a plurality of stages; expanders 80a, 80b for decompressing the refrigerant with a relatively low boiling point which has outflowed from a primary side of the last-stage cascade heat exchanger; a cooler 52 for evaporating the refrigerant decompressed by the expanders 80a, 80b; and a refrigerant circuit 1 wherein these apparatus are connected to each other through refrigerant piping.
