PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost with a simple structure by eliminating a thermistor and a wiring for transmission, in a drive controller of an electric motor having a reverse flow preventive function and a temperature detection function. SOLUTION: The drive controller of an electric motor includes a DC power source BAT, an electric motor 21, and a controller 70, which controls the operation of the motor 21 via a first switching element 74. This drive controller includes a second switching element 75 which is provided inside a motor casing 21a of the motor 21 and includes a second parasitic diode 75b, and a constant current circuit 76 which is arranged inside the controller 70 and connected between the first switching element 74 and the motor 21 to supply a constant current in the forward direction of the second parasitic diode 75b. The controller 70 detects a forward voltage of the second parasitic diode 75b by detecting a voltage of the connection portion of the constant current circuit between the first switching element 74 and the motor 21.
