PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical displacement meter which reduces influence of offset amount and gain variations of individual amplification circuits occurring when two outputs are provided in a one-dimensional image sensor. SOLUTION: The amounts of received light of an odd-numbered pixel 20a and an even-numbered pixel 20b of the one-dimensional image sensor 20 are read out from different output ports individually, and are amplified by different amplification circuits 15a, 15b independently. From two received-light-amount distributions formed from the amplified two received light amounts of the odd-numbered pixel 20a and the even-numbered pixel 20b, the positions of pixels being the peaks of the individual received light amounts are calculated. Based on the calculated two pixel positions, the distance up to a measuring object is calculated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
