<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display device which can stably display without causing a malfunction of a scanning electrode drive circuit even when drive with high luminance is performed using a high definition panel or a large panel. <P>SOLUTION: The plasma display device includes a plasma display panel, and the scanning electrode drive circuit which includes a plurality of scanning ICs for applying scanning pulses to a scanning electrode and drives the scanning electrode, the plasma display device is further provided with an APL calculation circuit 53 which calculates an APL of an image signal, a maximum temperature prediction circuit 54 which predicts temperature of a scanning IC having the highest temperature based on a mounting form of the image signal and the plurality of scanning ICs, and a luminance magnification setting circuit 55 which sets luminance magnification based on the APL calculated by the APL calculation circuit 53 and the maximum temperature predicted by the maximum temperature prediction circuit 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
