PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration reduction method reducing the vibration and noise produced when a train travels, without requiring a material cost and large-scaled operation. SOLUTION: In this vibration reduction method, waste tires 1 are buried in a ballast A under sleepers 2 on a railroad line. The waste tire 1 is radially divided into two parts, and the divided waste tires are buried in the ballast A under the sleepers 2 with the cut surfaces thereof facing downward. The plurality of waste tires 1 are disposed so that the side sections thereof are brought into contact with each other in the lateral direction of a pair of rails B, and the sleepers 2 are placed on the surfaces of the treads of the waste tires.
