<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of analyzing hemoglobin by capillary electrophoresis with which a device can be made compact and which has high analysis accuracy and can perform analysis in short time, and a reagent used for the method. <P>SOLUTION: This method includes a reagent preparation process and an electrophoresis process. In the electrophoresis process, the sample is electrophoresed in a buffer solution under existence of anionic chaotropic ions in the electrophoresis process. This method allows precise separation and measurement of stable type HbA1c as shown Fig.1.
