The system has a detection device (6) detecting solid angles (R1, R2), in which a road user e.g. pedestrian, is found. An illumination device (1) radiates signal light with solid angle-dependent spectral distribution and/or a solid angle-dependent intensity. A control device (7) i.e. processor device, is coupled to the devices (1, 6) and a signaling control element (8) e.g. lever. The device (7) is arranged such that the intensity and/or distribution of light are varied as reaction to the actuation of the element and detection of angles. The device (1) has a light source (2) with LEDs (4, 5).
