FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to gastric band implants and can be used for weight reduction in patients with obesity. An adjustable gastric band comprises a flexible inextensible strip connected with an elastic membrane one end of which is connected with a flexible tube, while the other end is closed. Besides, the gastric band accommodates a port attached to an inflatable membrane via the flexible tube and supplied with a membrane to be needled to introduce liquid into the membrane. Said strip comprises fasteners for its ends as a band, while the elastic membrane is connected with the strip thereby forming an internal wall of the gastric band. The elastic membrane is formed by interfaced trapezoid segments showing base width to segment height ratio 1.6-1.7. ^ EFFECT: invention provides optimum and reliable interaction with gastric walls, restriction of cardiac orifice, thus reducing food intake into inferior alimentary tract of stomach. ^ 3 dwg |
