摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a test substance, a sensor unit, and a measuring instrument thereof, which help greatly simplify a structure and a detecting procedure of the sensor unit and the instrument, and allow high-precision detection in specific detection of a test substance using a photocurrent produced by photoexcitation of a sensitizing dye. <P>SOLUTION: A sample liquid including the test substance, and the sensitizing dye are brought into contact with the surface of a working electrode to fix the sensitizing dye onto the working electrode through specific bonding. Subsequently, while the sample liquid is being held without being removed, an electrolyte is fed on the spot to bring the working electrode and a counter electrode into contact with the electrolyte.
