PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire improving rim coming-off resisting performance during run-flat traveling without impairing rim assembling performance and ride comfort during normal traveling. SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial tire includes a tread portion 11, a pair of side portions 12 extending from both ends of the tread portion 11 in a tire radial-direction inner side, and a pair of bead portions 13 positioned at its inner ends. The pneumatic tire includes a carcass layer extending in a toroid shape between the pair of bead cores 1 buried in the bead portions, and a side reinforcing rubber layer 3 with a generally crescent-shaped cross section disposed at a side portion along its inner surface. An aramid fiber cover layer 4 disposed adjacent to the carcass layer 2 and folded back around the bead core 1 to cover a side surface portion and a bottom surface portion of the bead core 1 is provided. A tire radial-direction outside end 4a is positioned between a tire radial-direction outside end of the bead core 1 and a position distanced by 10 mm from the tire radial-direction outside end of the bead core 1 to the tire radial-direction outer side.
