<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller that determines the rotation position of a rotor precisely even when a fault occurs in any one of a sine wave signal or a cosine wave signal, thereby improving control performance of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: A resolver 10 generates a sine wave signal and a cosine wave signal corresponding to the rotation position of the rotor of a motor 3. A first position operating section 21 determines the rotation position of the rotor by using both the sine wave signal and cosine wave signal. When the fault occurs in one of the sine wave signal or cosine wave signal, a second position operating section 22 determines the rotation position of the rotor by using the other normal signal and a rotation position region specified by a section 25 for specifying a region. Two candidates of rotation position are obtained by one normal signal, and any one of the candidates of rotation position is selected based on the rotation position region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
