CORE-SHELL TYPE COBALT OXIDE FINE PARTICLES OR DISPERSION CONTAINING THE SAME, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THEM, AND THEIR APPLICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide core-shell type cobalt oxide fine particles or a dispersion containing the same, a method for producing those and their application.

SOLUTION: The core-shell type cobalt oxide fine particles have an average particle diameter of 50-200 nm, wherein the shape of a secondary particle of the core part is spherical and an organic polymer which is the shell adheres to its surface. There are also provided a dispersion of the cobalt oxide fine particles and dry powder of the cobalt oxide fine particle dispersion. The method for producing the core-shell type cobalt oxide fine particles or the dispersion thereof includes a step of mixing a salt of cobalt and an organic polymer in an organic solvent to prepare a mixture, and a step of subjecting the mixture to heating-reflux at a predetermined temperature to deposit core-shell type cobalt oxide fine particles, wherein the salt of cobalt is cobalt acetate. Their application is also provided.
