PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an image file distribution system and an image file distribution method which can secure security. SOLUTION: The image file distribution system distributes the image files of a guest OS and application which operate on a virtual machine constructed by software on a host OS which is operated by hardware. In this case, the system is provided with: a sever which installs the guest OS in the first constructed virtual machine, installs the application in the guest OS, combines the guest OS with the application to generate an image file, and distributes the image file through a network; and a computer which installs the distributed guest OS and application in the second constructed virtual machine.
