PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified mechanism and operating method for spreading and retracting wings in regard to a missile. SOLUTION: The missile is equipped with the wings 3, a spring 21, and a pyrotechnic 10 deforming the spring 21 while spreading the wings 3. The spring 21 retracts the wings 3 by restoring force. Since another pyrotechnic for retracting the wings 3 is unnecessary, a mechanism for spreading and retracting the wings 3 is simplified. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
