PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing device which enables highly accurate punching work and bending work without being affected by physical effect of a pressure transmission part through elimination of action behavior and thermal effect of the pressure transmission part for transmitting pressure to a punch. SOLUTION: The pressing device is provided with a base plate with a die fixed on an upper surface, a punch plate which is movably supported on the base plate by a guide means and fixes the punch at a lower surface facing the die, a pressurizing means having a first urging means mounted at a movement base to be lifted/lowered by a drive means and having at the first urging means a protruded rod to abut on and separated from the upper surface of the punch plate, and a second urging means interposed between the punch plate and the base plate and holding the punch plate to be separated from the base plate with the insertion space for a material to be processed.
