PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner allowing complete removal of dust adhered to a filter. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a first dust separation means and the filter which is provided downstream side of the first dust separation means so as to separate air and the dust by capturing the dust with filtration. The filter is provided inside a negative pressure chamber. A nozzle is provided on the front face of the filter so as to move along the filter by a nozzle moving mechanism. An aeration pipe is provided for appropriately communicating with the nozzle and air outside the negative pressure chamber. The outside air is blown from the nozzle against the filter by a pressure difference between atmospheric pressure of the outside air and negative pressure inside the negative pressure chamber in order to remove the dust deposited on the filter.
