The method involves assuming a positive measure in an evaluation measure for a conformance of a part of a vascular system of a testing object (2) that is detected in each of a projection image (B) with a corresponding part of the vascular system of the testing object in distorted volume data sets (V). A two-dimensional representation of the distorted volume data sets is represented on a visual display unit (15), where the evaluation measure negatively assumes changes of control point positions. The changed control point positions are determined such that the evaluation measure is maximum. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program containing a machine code that is directly operated by the computer to perform an evaluation method for data of a testing object (2) a data carrier storing a computer program to perform an evaluation method for data of a testing object (3) a computer for performing an evaluation method for data of a testing object.
