The controlling method involves implementing a control function (23) in a microcontroller (22) which is provided in a control device (20). The control function controls the hydraulic components, where the control function is monitored with the help of a monitoring function (24) which is implemented in the microcontroller. The monitoring function is monitored by the control function. An independent claim is included for a hydraulic component control device.
