A method for detecting a target parking position by using two reference points and a parking assistant system using the same are provided to recognize the right and left of a target parking section entrance by enabling a driver to indicate ends of a section line which distinguishes right and left parking sections from a target parking position as two reference points on a touch screen. An input image obtained by photographing a parking space from a camera is received(S210). Two reference points in the input image are received from a user interface(S220). By using the two reference points, a target pattern of a parking section mark is detected(S230). By using the target pattern, a target parking position is detected and outputted(S240). |
