[Class 30] A pruning or like tool comprises two blades 6, 7 pivotally connected at 10 and a shank 5 formed integral with each blade, the shanks 5 being fixed in grooves 4 in U- shaped handles 1, 2, each handle terminating short of the pivot 10. The shank of the blade 7 is offset at 11 so that the handles lie in the same plane. The blades are offset in the plane of the handles, and they are held open by a spring 12. In a modification sleeves of celluloid or other material cover the handles, and the blades are shaped as the beak of a parrot. |
