A mobile terminal device and a complementary viewing/hearing service system are provided to enable the reflection of user's interest or intention in using such a complementary viewing/hearing service. A mobile terminal device (50) to receive a digital terrestrial broadcast from a broadcast station to the mobile terminal device is provided with a control unit (61), a setting preservation unit (56) that preserves information set by a user, and a genre preservation unit (57) that counts the number of viewing times for each digital broadcast program that a user has viewed and that preserves such information. In the case where "the genre viewed X times in the past" is selected in a genre selection menu, the control unit (61) refers to the set viewing/hearing times preserved in the setting preservation unit (56) and the viewing/hearing times preserved in the genre preservation unit (57) and compares them. When the viewing/hearing times of the genre are more than its set viewing/hearing times, it is automatically set that a complementary viewing/hearing service for the genre becomes available. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009 |
