<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display incorporating an optical sensor and its drive method which can decrease the influence of noises made when writing on liquid crystals. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display incorporating an optical sensor and includes a line signal generator to generate line signals to specify the liquid crystal write timing for every horizontal line, and a timing controller 10 to read the line signals generated in the line signal generator to set up the timing once for every n (n is an integer of≥1) horizontal lines to read the detected signals from the optical sensor without overlapping with the liquid crystal write timing, and to generate the compound line signals of a preset cycle specified at the timing that the liquid crystal write timing and the detected signal read timing are not overlapping each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
