PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality by supporting a drum of an electrophotographic photoreceptor, and the like in an image forming apparatus while maintaining its high parallelism, and to improve the workability when attaching/detaching a drum of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and the like to an image forming apparatus by facilitating attachment/detachment thereof. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes a drum 2 for carrying an image and supporting means 3A, 3B for supporting the drum 2 rotatably. The supporting means 3A, 3B include inserting members 32A, 32B to be stored inside the drum 2. The inserting members 32A, 32B can select a state to be rotated integrally with the drum 2 by pressing the inner circumferential surface 23 of the drum 2 and a state relatively movable with respect to the drum 2 without pressing the inner circumferential surface 23 of the drum 2.
