PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication control method and apparatus, evading problems such as communication interruption caused by transition between sound absence and sound presence, and achieving high-reliability communication, and also to provide a radio communication device using the apparatus. SOLUTION: The communication control apparatus in audio communication has: a sound presence/absence determination part 105 for determining whether a received signal has sound; a synchronization determination threshold setting part 106 for changing a synchronization determination threshold Qout according to the sound absence/presence determination result; and a synchronization determination part 107 for performing synchronization determination, based on reception quality SIR of the received signal and the determination threshold Qout.
