<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for writing utensils, which is hardly discolored even when packed in such a transparent vessel that a color tone is visible from the outside and which is excellent in light resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition is composed, at the least, of water, a red xanthene dye and catechol disulfonic acid. C.I.AcidRed 87, C.I.AcidRed 92, etc. are exemplified as the red xanthene dye. Water is a principal liquid medium in this ink composition. An aqueous organic solvent can be used together with water. Various resins can also be used all together in order to fix a colorant. For example, shellac, a styrene-maleic acid copolymer or its salt, a styrene-acrylic acid copolymer or its salt, etc. are exemplified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
