PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of advance examination for confirming success or failure of molding beforehand to stably produce a high grade fiber-reinforced plastic by the resin impregnation molding, comprising disposing a fibrous substrate in a mold, impregnating the fibrous substrate with a resin and molding the fiber-reinforced plastic. SOLUTION: This method of advance examination in the resin impregnation molding comprises the steps of flowing-in a gas from outside through either one of an injection hole 6 and a discharge hole 7, flowing-out the gas to outside through the other hole, measuring the draft volume with a flow meter 1 arranged at the injection hole 6 or the discharge hole 7, comparing the draft volume with a preset reference range, and determining that the desired fiber-reinforced plastic can be molded or not based on that the draft volume falls within the reference range or outside it.
