PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation convertor cradle permitting the photography of a desired subject by correctly selecting an appropriate radiation convertor for the subject from among radiation convertors charged in the radiation convertor cradle, and to provide a radiation image photography system using the same. SOLUTION: Patient information and conditions for photography set in a console 34 are transmitted to the cradle 30 inside a photography chamber 36 and displayed in a display part 96. An engineer confirms the patient and conditions for photography according to the displayed information, and if the information is associated with the desired patient 22, the engineer operates a cassette releasing button 103. When the cassette releasing button 103 is operated, the fixed state of an electronic cassette 28 by a cassette fixing part 99 is released, and the electronic cassette 28 can be taken out of the cradle 30. Then, the engineer takes out the fully charged electronic cassette 28 from the cradle 30, sets the cassette at a prescribed position of the patient 22, and drives a radiation source 24 to capture a desired radiation image.
