The rotor (1) has multiple permanent magnets (2) which are arranged in a radial direction in two layers (3,4) lying one above the other. One of the layers is formed around a rotational axis (A) of the rotor and is rotatably arranged around the rotational axis in such a manner that the permanent magnet of one layer is adjustable against the permanent magnet of the other layer. The permanent magnets of the layers are arranged with alternating polarities. An independent claim is included for a dynamo-electric machine with a stator.
