PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always ensure stable ink supply performance and to ensure high reliability against drop and vibration during physical distribution in an ink tank having a flexible film, a spring functioning as a negative pressure generating mechanism and a plate material joined to the spring. SOLUTION: The liquid container includes a housing 10 having a supply port 20 leading out liquid contained in the housing, a spring member 11 configured to generate a negative pressure, a flexible member 13 joined to the housing 10 to form a liquid chamber, a plate member 12 disposed between the flexible member 13 and the spring member 11, a lid member 14 configured to cover the flexible member and secured to the housing, and a rib member 17 movably disposed in a space surrounded by the lid member and the flexible member and configured to regulate the shape of the flexible member and the position of the plate member.
