PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of easily determining appropriateness of the height of a sealant layer without carrying out a destruction inspection regardless of a condition (liquid) and transparency (permeability) of a sealant filled in the recess formed in a housing for securing sealing-tightness of the contact insertion holes in the housing wherein the contact insertion holes for inserting a plurality of contacts of pin-shape are formed. SOLUTION: The connector 1 has an insulating housing 10 having a recess 11 formed and contacts 20 of pin-shape which are installed in a plurality of contact insertion holes 11b formed in the recess 11, and in the recess 11, a sealant for securing sealing-tightness of the contact insertion hole 11b is filled. A height decision part 30 which determines proper height of the sealant layer 50 formed by filling the sealant is installed in the bottom face 11a of the recess 11.
