A reflecting device for adjustably reflecting light, such as sunlight, comprises a transparent first wall and a second wall, which is arranged substantially parallel to and at a distance from the first wall. The reflecting device has a regulating layer, which is provided with a duct, which is bounded between the first wall and the second wall. If the duct is filled with a transparent liquid, light from the first wall is substantially allowed through by the regulating layer to the second wall. The regulating layer reflects light which impinges on the first wall if the duct is empty. The regulating layer is provided with a structure which is prismatic in cross section. Said structure delimits the duct on a side of the duct which extends parallel to the walls. The reflecting device forms, for example, a solar collector. The reflecting device provides intrinsic protection against reaching the stagnation temperature. In addition, the reflecting device can also be incorporated into the roof structure of a greenhouse.
