<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a styrenic resin composition having such weatherresistance as to enable use in outdoor application by simultaneously improving light, heat and hot water resistances without deteriorating rigidity, dimensional stability, moisture-absorption resistance, colorlessness and transparency proper to polystyrene, and to provide a method for producing the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The weather-resistant and heat-resistant styrenic resin composition includes: a styrenic resin comprising a copolymer containing a styrene unit (A) and anα-methylstyrene unit (B) and having a content ratio of theα-methylstyrene unit (B) of 1.8-60 mol%, 0.005-2 mass% of at least one compound selected from 4-20 C alcohols and 5-20 C carboxylic acids, and 1-1,000 ppm of an alkali metal compound (in terms of the alkali metal element); and one or more benzylidene malonate type ultraviolet absorbers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
