PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid jetting device capable of reducing faulty ejection caused by wiping operation, and a maintenance method for the fluid jetting device. SOLUTION: The fluid jetting device includes: a recording head 4 having a nozzle formed surface 17 where a plurality of nozzles 16 jetting fluid are formed, and performing printing processing on a surface to be jetted by jetting the fluid from the nozzle 16; a maintenance part performing maintenance processing including the wiping operation that the jetted state of the fluid from the nozzle 16 is recovered by wiping out the nozzle formed surface 17 by a wipe member 44; and a meniscus pull-in means to pull in the meniscus position of the fluid when performing the wiping operation into the nozzle 16 as compared with the meniscus position of the liquid when performing printing processing.
