Anti-DR4 or Anti-DR5 antibody agonists, combined with apoptosis-inducing agents, synergistically induce apoptosis in cancer cells. A combination therapy for treating patients suffering from proliferative diseases or diseases associated with persistent angiogenesis is disclosed. The patient is treated with: an Anti-DR5 antibody agonists; and one or more pharmaceutically active agents.
