PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for purifying a starch sugar solution with an ion exchange resin in which desalination performance, decolorization performance and stability of pH of the processing sugar solution are excellent, an isomerization rate of glucose is low and also a quantity consumed of a regenerant for the ion exchange resin is decreased. SOLUTION: A starch sugar liquid is desalinated and then is contacted with a salt-type anion exchange resin to be decolorized. For example, a starch sugar liquid 20 is supplied into a pre-desalination system 6 comprising a cation exchange device 2 where a strongly acidic cation exchange resin is used and an anion exchange device 4 where a weekly basic anion exchange resin is used, and then is supplied into an anion exchange device 8 where a salt-type anion exchange resin is used to decolorizing the liquid 20, followed by further supplying the liquid 20 into a mixed bed type ion exchange device 18 (a finish desalination system) where a strongly acidic cation exchange resin and a basic anion exchange resin are used. |
