This watercolour palette holder and easel assembly with detachable side pane ls is intended for use outdoors. The easel is attached to the palette holder by a pivotal hinge . Through the use of a ridge on the exterior edge of the palette holder and a small block, a range of easel angles relative to the palette holder can be achieved. Working surfaces are provided by detachable side panels that attach to the side of the palette holder. The palette is held firmly in place by the attachment device of the side panels. A tripod mount located near the edge of the palet te holder allows the palette holder to be mounted on a standard camera tripod. The assembly is small, thin in profile, lightweight, completely free of surface hardware protuberances, and hence slides easily in and out of carrying cases such as shoulder bags and packsacks.
