The device (10) has a compressor unit (12) compressing and producing of compressed air (15), and a compressed air-storage tank (20) storing the compressed air. The storage tank is connected with the compressor unit via a compressed air-connection (43). The storage tank has a condensate outlet (33) to discharge the condensate (30) from the storage tank. The condensate outlet is connected with a condensate-evaporator device (35) for evaporating the condensate. The evaporator device has a collecting tank that is covered by a covering device.
