In a closet with an upper shelf and a door opening defined laterally by tw o vertical door frame posts which extend to the ceiling, a box frame having a box frame opening and a box frame door system is installed between these posts a nd above the location of the door opening. The box frame is fastened either to the door frame posts or to the ceiling to provide an opening by which articles may be more readily placed on the upper shelf. The upper shelf within the closet may extend only for a portion of the depth of the closet leaving a gap between such shelf an d the box frame thereby providing access to objects present on the shelf through such gap.
