<p>An electro-optical device and an electronic apparatus are provided to electrically connect an electrostatic potential line to an extension part of a short circuit line, thereby confirming potential of the extension part. A plurality of scanning lines and a plurality of data lines(6a) intersect each other. A plurality of pixel electrodes is formed corresponding to the intersection of the scanning lines and the data lines. A line for short circuit is formed around a pixel area where the pixel electrodes are formed. The line for short circuit has a main line part and an extension part. The main line part shorts the scanning lines each other during a manufacturing process. Predetermined potential is provided to an electrostatic potential line(605). The electrostatic potential line is electrically connected to the extension part.</p> |
