FIELD: instrument making. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for radar angular target tracking and missile seekers. Proposed method comprises generating equal-signal direction of aerial, extracting the signal of mismatch between target direction and equal-signal direction, generating actual target angular coordinates, target identification in compliance with "point-object" or "extended-object" in two planes. It includes changing the aerial equal-signal direction via changing aerial position towards reducing mismatch signal only provided there exists the point-object signal in every plane separately.
