METHOD FOR FORMING REFERENCE PATTERN

A reference pattern forming method is provided to prevent disposal of a disc drive or reprocessing of a defective reference pattern in a servo copy device by correcting a defective reference pattern. A reference pattern forming method is as follows. It determines whether the boundary of an initial reference pattern is positioned in the inner area of a disc based on the outermost perimeter track(315). If the boundary point of the first standard pattern is positioned in the inner area, a corrected reference pattern is created by expanding the initial reference pattern toward the outer track of the disc(320).
