PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine capable of easily setting a place to sew an embroidered pattern with respect to a fabric to be processed and performing the sewing. SOLUTION: A marker whose disposed position and disposed angle are recognizable is pasted to the fabric to be processed on which the embroidery pattern is sewn, by a user. Then, an image sensor of the sewing machine photographs the fabric to be processed (S15: YES) and recognition processing of the marker is performed with respect to a pasted region of the marker prespecified by the user (S19). When the marker is recognized (S20: YES), coordinate information about the embroidered pattern is transformed on the basis of the disposed position and disposed angle of the specified marker (S21) to specify a place to sew the embroidered pattern. It is confirmed that the specified place to sew the embroidered pattern does not protruded from a sewing area of an embroidery frame holding the fabric to be processed (S23: NO) and the embroidered pattern is sewn.
