PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology related to encryption for acquiring a short and hard-to-decrypt ciphertext and decryption suitable for the ciphertext. SOLUTION: An encryption device 1 includes: an encryption section 11 encrypting the n-th plaintext block 10n; a CBC mode encryption section 12 encrypting each of the (n-1)th or lower plaintext blocks 101, ..., 10n-1 in CBC (Cipher Block Chaining) mode with the ciphertext acquired by the encryption section 11 as an initial vector; and an OFB mode encryption section 13 encrypting the n-th plaintext block 10n in OFB (Output Feed Back) mode with the ciphertext of the (n-1)th plaintext block 10n-1 as an initial vector.
