The pump (100) has a drive shaft (103) arranged in a crank case (102). A pump unit (104) is driven by the drive shaft. A pump piston (107) is arranged in the cylinder chamber in an axial movable manner, and a tappet (108) is arranged in a tappet area (111). A connecting element (109) transmits pressure from the crank case into the area. The connecting element is hydraulically coupled with the crank case.
