PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which hardly generates swelling of the battery even with repetition of charging and discharging and is excellent in longer charge and discharge cycle characteristics and is feasible to aim at high capacity and high energy density. SOLUTION: A mixed solvent of ethylene carbonate and propylene carbonate is used as a solvent component of a nonaqueous electrolyte. Further, upon pouring the nonaqueous electrolyte containing the mixed solvent into a battery case in order to improve wettability of the mixed solvent against a group of electrodes, a low boiling-point solvent of 10-30 pts.vol. is mixed to the mixed solvent of 100 pts.vol., the low boiling-point solvent is evaporated after making the nonaqueous electrolyte wet to the group of electrodes, and then, the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery can be obtained by sealing a battery case.
