The system (1) has a power transmitting screw (4) with an axially movable component (7) whose thread is in engagement with a thread of a nut in a spindle section (9) of the movable component. A pinion (13) meshes at a teeth section (11) of the movable component, where the pinion is connected with a steering shaft (12). A housing cover (14) forming an axial closure projects from the movable component and has a guide bush (16) in an axial external area (15) for the movable component. The axial distance (a) of the pinion in the nut corresponds to a double stroke of the movable component.
