<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content providing method capable of reducing labor and time to be spent for the settlement of a content provider or a general user, and reducing the fees of transfer, etc., required for the settlement. <P>SOLUTION: A distribution server 1 for recording a digital content, the terminal computer 2 of the general user, and a management server 3 for managing the distribution operation of the digital content are connected via the Internet 4. Under the above network environment, the management server 3 includes: a first database 10 for storing the required number of points of the digital content and identification information of the distribution server 1; and a second database 11 for storing the remaining number of points of the general user.
