PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting bowl type toilet stool for improving the operating performance by improving the movement of a tilting bowl. SOLUTION: The tilting bowl type toilet stool comprises a frame, a toilet bowl basin and the tilting bowl. The tilting bowl is supported under the toilet bowl basin to receive and store the water/excrement supplied from the toilet bowl basin. The tilting bowl discharges the content to a drainage by inclining. The tilting bowl is held to stay in a horizontal posture by the holding torque around a support shaft at the time of waiting. When the water is supplied and the torque generated by the tilting bowl and its content becomes larger than the holding torque, the tilting bowl moves to an inclined posture and discharges the content. When the tilting-bowl inclines, the holding torque is reduced at the same time.
