PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of a system manager when setting monitoring setting information. SOLUTION: A monitoring device includes: a monitoring manager 11 for receiving monitoring data transmitted from a monitoring agent 21 set according to the monitoring setting information of a monitoring setting information storage section 12 and storing it at a monitoring data storage section 13; a change determination condition storage section 15 for storing the change determination conditions of the hardware or software configuration of a device 2 to be monitored; a configuration change determination section 14 for determining whether the monitoring setting information of the device 2 to be monitored is to be changed by referring to monitoring data and change determination conditions; a utilization condition storage section 17 for storing the utilization conditions of the hardware or software configuration for utilization the monitoring setting information of the device 2 to be monitored; and a setting utilization section 16 for changing the monitoring setting information of the device 2 to be monitored, when it is determined that the monitoring setting information of another device 2 to be monitored can be utilized for the monitoring setting information of the device 2 to be monitored which is determined that the change is to be made by the configuration change determination section 14 by referring to the monitoring data and the utilization conditions.
